PICS: Clay County sends hurricane relief supplies to Southwest Florida

Green Cove Springs, Fla. — Trucks full of supplies left the Clay County Fairgrounds Wednesday morning.

They’re chock-full of hurricane relief supplies that have been collected over the past two weeks.

They’ll be making four stops in Southwest Florida, starting in Pine Island.

In all, organizers told Action News Jax 35,000 items were collected, 7,500 pounds of pet food, 300 bales of hay, and $20,000 in donations.

The Clay County Fair has been proudly posting its hurricane relief efforts on its Facebook page, thanking everyone who took the time to donate.
