ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. — Update 8 15 p.m.: Famous aviator and flight instructor Patty Wagstaff tweeted that her plane experienced a mechanical problem Wednesday, causing the plane to skid and flip on the runway.
We had a mechanical problem in our V Tail Bonanza after landing a St Augustine this evening. People have been asking and I wanted to let everyone know that my passenger (one of our instructors) are doing fine.

According to Wagstaff's website, today is her 68th birthday.
Update 7 p.m.: The Florida Highway Patrol said the pilot of a plane that skidded of the runway at Northeast Florida Regional Airport was 68-year-old American daredevil pilot Patricia "Patty" Wagstaff.
The crash report did not saw what caused the plane crash, but said Wagstaff sustained minor injuries and her passenger was not injured.
