The store's future site is planned for the intersection of International Golf Parkway and World Commerce Parkway.
On Friday, St. Johns County homeowner Jeff Bush said he has been watching the county expand since the 80s.
He isn't worried about the 104-pump gas station and huge convenience store.
"I think it just goes along with growth," Bush explained.
Not everyone is on board with Buc-ee's.
In 2017, Action News Jax reported about a petition against the gas station.
It was created by families right across the road in World Golf Village.

One of the main concerns listed in the petition is additional traffic.
Even Bush admitted he worries about infrastructure.
"I would love to see that get better, without a doubt," he said.
Plans submitted to the St. Johns River Water Management District show new turn lanes at the intersection and I-95 off ramps, resurfacing and signal installations to handle the extra traffic.
"I would think that would be a huge project. Pretty tough to plan for. I think you definitely have to have your ducks in a row, Bush said.
A representative for Buc-ee's said neighbors will likely see construction in 2020.
He explained they didn't have an exact date for opening.
