JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Police found a loaded gun, knives and ammo and a stolen car at Sandalwood High School on Thursday.

The principal said school security noticed two unauthorized people on campus in a suspicious vehicle, which triggered a lockdown.

Duval County Public Schools said one person has been detained and they’re looking for another person.

Viewer video shows a car on campus that appears to be a dark Acura sedan with the trunk open.

Police have bags they’ve taken out and placed on the ground and officers are seen going through those bags.

DCPS said the loaded gun was recovered on campus and knives and ammo were found inside the stolen car.

Another viewer video shows police appearing to detain a young man. We haven’t been given a name or have not been told if they’re a student from another school.

Police are still looking for a second person and no description has been given on him or her, so we’re working to learn more about these people and the stolen car.

The principal said school was safely dismissed, but it’s also worth noting this was the last day of school before winter break and students won’t be back for more than 2 weeks.
