JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A shooting on Beach Boulevard was reported by the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office on Thursday evening around 5:45.

JSO said that the shooting occurred during an attempted sale of a vehicle outside the InTown Suites at 11451 Beach Boulevard.

A dispute resulted over the price of the vehicle and the suspect displayed a firearm, firing one shot. The victim, an adult man, was struck in the arm as the bullet passed through and into his side.

He was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

The seller of the vehicle fled the extended stay motel in a newer model, silver Dodge Durango.

Police said there were people outside during the time of the incident. Detectives are on the scene conducting an investigation.
