JACKSONVILLE BEACH, Fla. — A person is expected to recover following a shooting at Taco Bell in Jacksonville Beach, according to police.
The incident happened around 2:15 a.m. Monday at the restaurant located at 3rd Avenue South and 3rd Street South.
The Jacksonville Beach Police Department originally said that a person was shot and was in critical condition.

Police later told Action News Jax that the shooting victim is still in the hospital and he is expected to recover.

Police said they've arrested Wesley Jackson Jr.,34, in connection with the shooting. He faces a charge of attempted murder and burglary with assault or battery, according to a Jacksonville Sheriff's Office arrest report.
Sky Action News Jax captured several police officers looking for evidence related to the case on Butler Boulevard near the Intracoastal Waterway.

The restaurant was blocked off for hours as police investigated in the drive-through area.
Action News Jax saw officers placing a wig and other items inside evidence bags.
Evidence markers could be seen on the ground near a Honda Civic.
The restaurant reopened around 7:30 a.m.
