On Friday the Baker County Sheriff’s Office took to Facebook to warn parents about a man communicating with Baker County students online, encouraging them to hold political protests and disrupt school functions.

In their post, the BCSO categorizes these attempts as ‘online exploitation’ and ‘manipulation’.

When this article was originally published, Action News Jax chose not to identify the man named in the post because the man had not been arrested nor charged with a crime.

Action News Jax has since received a response from Kevin Conner, the Clay County man at the center of the claims.

“This vile innuendo and slander against me has had immediate, drastic and terrible consequences for me and my family...Tonight we are not sleeping at home”, Conner said.
