Jacksonville, Fla. — Chances are graduation week is going to be a wet one for Duval County seniors, and it’s forcing some schools to change the time of their scheduled outdoor ceremonies.

Duval County Public Schools announced graduations set for 6 p.m. Thursday and Friday have been moved to 9 a.m.

For now the changes impact seven high schools:

  • Thursday - Ed White, Mandarin, and Sandalwood
  • Friday - Englewood, First Coast, Raines, and Terry Parker

The school board said graduates should arrive at their schools at 8 a.m. for the 9 a.m. ceremonies.

The schedule for Frank H. Peterson has not been impacted. DCPS said it remains scheduled for Thursday, June 3 at 7 p.m. at the Times-Union Moran Theater.
