FLEMING ISLAND, Fla. — After competing against 85 other Primrose schools, students at Primrose School of Fleming Island won second place in the Ready, Set, Robotics! challenge, and donated their $1,500 winnings to Safe Animal Shelter, a no-kill rescue that helps reduce the number of cats and dogs harmed in Clay County and Northeast Florida.

Ready, Set, Robotics! is a two-week summer curriculum program that is part of Primrose Schools’ Summer Adventure Club, a summer camp for kids in kindergarten to fifth grade that introduces students to STEM learning while encouraging problem solving and critical thinking skills.
Program leaders said that children in the program develop an encouraged interest in careers including, but not limited to, engineering, art and exploring.
