PUTNAM COUNTY, Fla. — Update 1/11 6:30 p.m.: The Florida Highway Patrol said a 47-year-old man died in a head-on crash with a semi truck Friday night in Putnam County.
FHP has not released the man’s name because the next of kin hasn’t been notified yet.
According to the crash report, the driver of a GMC 1500 pickup truck was driving west on SR-100 while the semi truck was heading east. The GMC truck veered off the right shoulder of the road and over-corrected, swerving left into the opposite lane. The GMC collided with the semi truck that was heading east, causing the semi to jackknife off the side of the road.
The driver of the GMC was pronounced dead at the scene. The crash report did not list any charges for the driver of the semi truck.

A tractor-trailer and a truck are involved in the head-on crash, according to FHP.
FHP said one person is dead.
