PUTNAM COUNTY, Fla. — Interlachen High School was on lockdown for a little more than a half-hour Wednesday.
The Putnam County School District said an investigation is underway to determine the cause of the lockdown.
PCSD released the following statement about the lockdown:
At approximately 12:51 p.m. today, Interlachen High School was placed on lockdown by the automated system. Law enforcement and school officials worked in concert to clear every area of the campus before the lockdown was lifted at 1:27 p.m. An investigation is ongoing to determine the cause of the lockdown. The school-based officials, law enforcement, and the students are to be commended for their quick actions and response to this event.
