PUTNAM COUNTY, Fla. — A man was indicted in the 2015 murder of a pregnant woman whose body was found in a Putnam County cemetery, Putnam County Sheriff H.D. “Gator” DeLoach announced Tuesday.
Lorenzo Hudson, 42, is now facing two counts of first-degree murder; abuse of a dead human body; and tampering with physical evidence in the killing of 22-year-old Shaquierra Pinckney and her unborn child, according to a news release from State Attorney R.J. Larizza’s office.

Investigators say Hudson contacted Pinkney through BackPage.com on Aug. 30, 2015. Pinckney was reported missing to the Daytona Beach Police Department on Sept. 1, 2015.
Pinckney was killed and then burned beyond recognition. Her body was found a few days later in a remote graveyard less than one mile away from where Hudson grew up in East Palatka.
Pinckney’s car was recovered later in September 2015 in the Flagler Estates neighborhood of St. Johns County.

Hudson was already in prison at the Okaloosa Work Camp in the Panhandle on charges that include burglary, grand theft and fraud. DeLoach said Hudson was set to be released from prison in December.
The case was investigated by the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office, Daytona Beach Police Department, St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office and State Attorney’s Office Investigators. Assistant State Attorney Mark Johnson is the prosecutor for the State.
