MELROSE, Fla. — Sarah Baker said it’s a nightmare she can never escape.
“I’ve been living in the absolute complete denial,” Baker said. “I wake up and reality sets in.”
In her first interview since losing her two boys, Baker is speaking out about their deaths. Her boys, 14-year-old Tayten and 12-year-old Robert Baker, were brutally murdered inside their Melrose home Aug. 26.
Baker said it still doesn’t feel real. “I didn’t even realize how long it was until like 16 days ago, I was like it’s been 16 days since I’ve seen their little faces,” Baker said.
Mark Wilson Jr., the boyfriend of the boys' aunt, was charged with two counts of first-degree premeditated murder in the deaths of the children.

Tuesday, Action News Jax got a copy of the arrest warrant for Wilson Jr. According to the report, the suspect told an unidentified witness he and the boys' aunt, Cindy, planned to kill the entire family, including Baker and her other 4-year-old son.

Andy Benson, the boys' grandfather, is standing by his daughter’s side. “If she had any involvement at all I would be the first one to turn her in,” Benson said. “Cindy 100 percent has nothing to do with it.” Baker also backed her sister and said she would never hurt her or her nephews. “I believe my sister. Yes. 100 percent. Not a shadow of a doubt that she had no involvement whatsoever,” Baker said.
