CRESCENT CITY, Fla. — UPDATE, 1/6/20, 1:30 p.m.: An arrest has been made in a shooting that left 1 man dead in Crescent City, the Putnam County Sheriff’s Office said.
Ahmad Rashard Williams, 29, is facing charges of first-degree murder and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
UPDATE 8:30 p.m.: The victim has been identified as Tykey Nixon, 28, police say.

UPDATE 4:26 p.m.: The Putnam County Sheriff’s Office said a suspect in a shooting that left one person dead near the Crescent City Police station is in custody.
Police will be releasing more information shortly. Check back for updates.

Original story: The Putnam County Sheriff’s Office said a person was found dead with an apparent gunshot wound near the Crescent City Police station Sunday.
PCSO said they weren’t sure how the person got there, or if they were dropped off already dead.
They have no suspect information at this time.
