A Duval County teacher and paraprofessional are facing suspension after being accused of dragging an elementary school student out a classroom.
Action News Jax obtained documents on the February incident that occurred at San Mateo Elementary School.
According to the documents, teacher Julia Woessner and paraprofessional Annette Smith have been reassigned to the Consolidated Services Warehouse.

Investigators said interviews and evidence prove the school employees used poor judgment when they pulled a 1st grader from his classroom on February 14.

The report said Woessner and Smith dragged the boy from the classroom when he refused to leave the room, leaving him with red marks on his arms.
Students told the investigators, the 1st grader was crying and yelling when the pair pulled him by his hands and feet.
Both employees violated the principles of professional conduct of the education profession in Florida.
