A person was killed on I-95 on Wednesday morning, Jacksonville Fire and Rescue said in a tweet.

The victim was a 68-year-old man that was hit by an SUV while crossing I-95, JFRD said. The incident happened next to a walkway that goes over the road.

The deadly incident was the second of the day in Jacksonville. Earlier Wednesday, a 37-year-old woman on a bicycle was struck and killed on 103rd Street.
