JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Update: The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office continues to investigate the shooting death of 27-year-old Ronald Jenkins.
Witnesses at the scene identified a possible suspect vehicle as either a black Kia Optima or Hyundai Sonata. The suspect vehicle is said to have stopped near the victim prior to shots being fired.

Original story: The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office reported an aggravated battery on the 4600 block of North Ken Knight Drive.
Police say they received calls around 2:45 p.m.
When they arrived on the scene, they found a 25-30-year-old man lying on the road having suffered gunshot wounds.
The victim was transported to UF Health where he was pronounced dead.
According to JSO, this is considered a drive-by shooting.
Police believe the suspects fled in a black SUV.
