JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — The Jacksonville Sheriff's Office said a shooting was reported on Doby Street in the Magnolia Gardens area Saturday evening.
In a briefing, police said 6 to 7 people were inside a house on Doby Street when someone fired several shots into the home around 8 p.m. One of those bullets hit a teenage boy who was inside.

The teen's mother drove him to a nearby hospital. Police said he sustained non-life threatening injuries.
No one else was shot that was inside the home at the time, according to JSO.
Detectives are investigating the crime scene, but didn't have a description of the shooter at the time of the briefing.
