JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Your health and safety, it's the reason we go out every week to get you answers about the places you love to eat. In this week's original Restaurant Report, Action News Jax's Ben Becker tells you about violations that inspectors found at local restaurants.
Inspectors found the following at Joe's Crab Shack at Beach Boulevard and 1st Street South:
- 13 small flying insects
- Eight rodent droppings
- Potentially hazardous food temperatures
It was temporarily closed.
Barefoot Bill's Island Grill on Treasury Street near Spanish Street was cited for:
- 35 rodent droppings
- Rodent rub marks were present
- An employee was not wearing a beard guard during food prep
It was temporarily closed.
Inspectors say Country Cabin on Blanding Boulevard near Wilson Boulevard had:
- 40 live flies
- An accumulation of dead pests in control devices
- Potentially hazardous food temperatures
The restaurant was also temporarily closed.
All restaurants in this week's report have passed follow-up inspections.
