JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A school bus that crashed into a tree Friday morning is under investigation.
The crash involved a school bus along with a sedan, said the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.
The crash happened at Cortez and Bradley roads, which is south of Atlantic Boulevard. The area was blocked to drivers due to the investigation.
JSO said it appears a car ran a stop sign and hit the bus, causing it to leave the roadway and hit a tree.
The Duval County Public Schools said the bus was heading to the GRASP Academy.
DCPS said one student was taken to Memorial Hospital as a precaution. Another bus came and took the students to school.
The driver of the bus and the car reported no injuries, according to JSO.
