Seeking to identify a suspect of grand theft and burglary in St. Augustine

ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla — The St. Augustine Police Department reported that the individual identified is a person of interest in a vehicle burglary and grand theft.

Reports state that it is believed he observed a bank patron exit the Wells Fargo Bank at 200 Plantation Island Drive with a large amount of money and then followed the patron to another business on U.S. 1 where the patron parked her car.

He then forcefully entered the trunk of the vehicle and took $25,000 cash that was in a bag from the trunk.
