Neighbors described hearing five gunshots at 2:30 a.m. Saturday morning. One neighbor said he saw a dark-colored car drive away from the road. We are working to confirm that with JSO.
Action News Jax took a look at crime map data and didn't find any violent crimes in the Sappho Avenue area in the past six months.
Neighbors say waking up to gunshots in this area is unusual. They are hoping surveillance cameras in the area caught video that will help police arrest the person who opened fire.
