SJSO in Virginia processing suspect's car in double homicide

ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. — A man suspected in a double homicide in St. Johns County was arrested Thursday night in Virginia.

The St. Johns County Sheriff's Office said the Norton Police Department responded to a call from a motorist that a car, which was driven by James Colley Jr., tried to run her off the road and that Colley was attempting to make her stop.

Colley is suspected in the death of his wife Amanda Cloaninger-Colley and her close friend, Lindy Dobbins.

Several Norton PD officers responded and confirmed that the car matched the description placed by the SJSO in connection with the double homicide

Colley did not resist officers who arrested him during a traffic stop. He was also charged with DUI and taken to the Duffield Regional Jail in Duffield, Virginia.

SJSO detectives in Virginia are working with Norton PD in processing the car and its contents in connection with the case.
