JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — UPDATE 9:30 P.M. - Action News Jax reporter Dani Bozzini went to the building damaged in a fire on Wednesday evening.
Firefighters swarmed the area and were able to put the fire out just before 7 p.m.
Witnesses tell Bozzini that the flames were higher than the building at one point.
Two woman tell Bozzini that the building damaged in the fire was the abandoned, old Bethelite Conference Center. These woman say this building was a piece of history.
No one was injured in the fire and Yolando Reese, a witness, told Bozzini that, "God protected and covered us so we're thankful for that and hopefully there was nobody in there and things are fine and nobody got hurt."
UPDATE 6:40 P.M. - The Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department said that the building fire is under control.
Command has now called this fire under control.

UPDATE 6:35 P.M. - The Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department has called the fire marshal to the building fire.
Command has requested the fire marshal.

The Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department said its crews are at a commercial building fire on Arlington Expressway.
Crews are responding to a commercial building fire in the 5800 block of Arlington expressway...E19 is on scene advising that fire is showing....more crews are en route.
