St. Augustine man accused of sexually assaulting sleeping woman

ST. AUGUSTINE, FLa. — St. Augustine police are searching for a man who allegedly sexually assaulted a woman who was sleeping on a bed after a night of drinking.

Police said Moise Bados-Zavala, 22, locked himself in the room with the victim and had sex with her without her consent.

Friends told police they left the victim upstairs sleeping.

They didn’t know where Bados-Zavala was so they came upstairs and heard moaning coming from the room where she was sleeping.

They said they yelled at Bados-Zavalafor for touching her and pushed him down the stairs. He then left.

When police came to the home and asked the victim if she consented to sex with Bados-Zavala, she said no.

Police are trying to locate Bados-Zavala.
