2014 ARREST: 'Intimate encounter' turns into armed robbery in St. Augustine
The St. Johns County Sheriff's Office has arrested a 29-year-old woman and charged her with leaving the scene of a traffic accident that killed a St. Johns County teenager.
Haley Smith, 15, was killed in Nov. 2013 while walking down Kenton Morrison Road.
In Nov. 2016, the St. Augustine Record ran an article about the case, which generated some tips, police said.
The tips led to the Tiffany Michelle Higginbotham, 29. The St. Johns County Sheriff's Office say they have collected trace evidence and eyewitness evidence.
