St. Augustine, Fla. — If your trash pickup was missed because of severe weather cancellations, St. Johns County has scheduled a make-up day.
Garbage will be picked up Saturday, Oct. 1, for residents whose trash was originally scheduled to be picked up on Thursday or Friday.
No recycling, yard waste, or storm debris will be collected. Normal collection schedules will resume on Monday, Oct. 3.

All evacuation orders for the county were lifted on Friday.
St. Johns County has opened the Solomon Calhoun Community Center, 1300 Duval St., as a post-impact shelter for those who are unable to return to their homes. All other shelters are now closed.

Anyone driving through the county is asked to watch for standing water and impassable roads.
