St. Johns County residents can sign up for SNAP benefits if they have been impacted by Hurricane Ian

ST. JOHNS, Fla. — Residents of phase two counties can pre-register for Disaster Supplemental Nutrition Assistance, D-SNAP, if their families were effected by Hurricane Ian.

After the pre-registration is complete, residents can call the D-SNAP call center for a whole interview.

D-SNAP is only available for Floridians who do not currently receive food assistance benefits through the regular SNAP program.

Only certain counties are qualified.

The call center will be open between Oct. 20 to Oct. 23.
