TALLAHASSEE, Fla. — The $286 million jackpot prize on a Powerball ticket sold on Jacksonville’s Westside has been claimed, the Florida Lottery said Friday.
Clay Tousey, 69, of Ponte Vedra Beach, trustee of The Love You More Trust, claimed the winnings from the Powerball drawing held on June 5.
The Love You More Trust, which is now Florida’s 16th Powerball winner, chose to receive the winnings in a one-time, lump-sum payment of $196,706,252.17.

According to MattWeidnerLaw.com, “The way a trust works is to transfer your winning ticket into the name of the trust. Then, the winnings can be claimed on behalf of the trust by your attorney or by the trustee. A lottery trust is also helpful when you share your winning lotto ticket with another party.”
The winning ticket was a Quick Pick ticket was purchased from Circle K at 721 Chaffee Road South in Jacksonville, the Florida Lottery said.
The retailer will receive a $100,000 bonus commission for selling the jackpot-winning POWERBALL ticket.
The next Powerball drawing will be held Saturday, June 26 at 10:59 p.m. ET with an estimated $75 million jackpot.
