Bicyclist dies in crash on U.S. 1 in St. Augustine north of St. Johns-Flagler county line

ST. AUGUSTINE, Fla. — UPDATE: In an official report made by the Florida Highway Patrol, a sports utility vehicle was traveling north on U.S. Highway 1, south of County Road 204. A bicyclist entered the northbound lanes of U.S. 1 from a business driveway and entered the direct path of the SUV.

The front right of the SUV collided with the man on the bike as he came to a rest in the left northbound lane from the impact of the crash.

Unfortunately, FHP said that the bicyclist died from his injuries sustained from the crash.

FHP said this is happening in the 10200 block of U.S. 1, and all northbound lanes are blocked due to the crash.
