Alaimo, of St. Augustine, will complete the term of the late District 3 Commissioner Paul Waldron, who died Oct. 18 at Flagler Hospital in St. Augustine. Waldon was first elected to the commission in 2016 and then re-elected in 2020.
“I am honored and humbled to be appointed by Gov. DeSantis to serve on the St. Johns County Board of County Commissioners,” Alaimo said. “I am excited for the opportunity, and I look forward to serving the community.”
Alaimo will take the ceremonial oath of office during the Jan. 17, 2023, meeting.
