A look at a new high school in St. Johns County

ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. — Action News Jax is giving you a look at a new high school in St. Johns County that is expected to help reduce overcrowding.

It’s located off International Golf Parkway. The school is currently called HHH but the school will soon get a new name.

A ceremony is being held at 1 p.m.

About 1,000 students from Nease could be moving to the school. It was built with money from the half-cent sales tax that became effective in 2016.

Action News Jax’s Ben Becker is pressing school leaders about if new schools are being built fast enough and what can Duval County learn from S. Johns when it comes to using money from a half-cent sales tax.
