St. Johns County Fire Rescue reminds community about emergency alert app

ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. — St. Johns County Fire Rescue is reminding the community about an emergency alert app.

The app is called “Alert St. Johns,” and St. Johns County Fire Rescue said in a Facebook post that it allows St. Johns County Emergency Operations to alert people in the area of emergency activities.

This way, they hope to help people avoid risky areas and warn them before obstacles, such as road closures, and delay commutes.

The app will automatically sign users up to receive public safety and emergency messages. Downloaders also have the option to receive weather alerts.
