St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office investigating apparent murder-suicide in Sawgrass

PONTE VEDRA, Fla. — 4:40 p.m. UPDATE:

According to the St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office, a 911 call came in just after 3 p.m., when they arrived on scene, they found two people deceased.

They are investigating this as a murder-suicide, therefore, there are no suspects and no threat to the public.

It is believed to be an isolated incident, and the scene is contained to the house, according to SJCSO.

The SJCSO said, detectives are currently working to contact people who are familiar with the situation, and they are the only ones on scene.

Due to the nature of the call, they did not share an exact address, names, or who called 911.

The St. Johns County Sheriff’s Office has confirmed they are investigating what appears to be a murder-suicide by shooting in Ponte Vedra on Nautilus Lane.

The incident occurred in Sawgrass, which is a gated community closed to the general public.
