Florida and Georgia are among the top 25 states with the most sexually transmitted diseases, according to a new study.
Backgroundchecks.org analyzed new data from the Centers for Disease Control to determine which states have the highest number of cases of STDs.
Georgia has the fourth highest rate of STDs in the country, and Florida ranked 24th, according to the study.
This report was compiled by taking CDC data on the rate of incidents per 100,000 residents for the two most common STDs, gonorrhea and Chlamydia, and calculating a weighted average between the two.
