Two city buses involved in accident on Mathews Bridge

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Two Jacksonville  Transit Authority buses were involved in an accident on the Mathews Bridg around 3 p.m. Friday.

Officials say the buses were going 2 to 4 miles per hour at the time of the crash in the east bound lanes.

The right lane of a city bus hit another bus in the left lane, according to JTA.

Jacksonville Sheriff Office says one bus scraped another bus’s mirror. Officials say the buses are not damaged, and the mirror did not fall off.

Three passengers were taken to the hospital with minor injuries.

A third bus came to the scene to pick up the passengers.
