Two men injured in Jax motorcycle collision on Friday night

The Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office reported that there was a major crash Friday night between motorcycles that resulted in serious injury.

At approximately 8 p.m. Friday night, officers were dispatched to 8500 Herlong Rd. and discovered two motorcycles that collided.

The first male victim was transported to a local hospital by friends with non-life-threatening injuries.

The second male victim sustained serious injuries and was transported to a nearby hospital by Jacksonville Fire and Rescue.

It is still unknown whether the victims were traveling together or whether the crash related to one from last weekend, but JSO says they are fairly certain that the bikers were headed in the same direction.

The accident is currently being investigated by JSO Traffic Homicide.
