Two minors reportedly ran away from clown in Nassau County

A female and her friend reportedly ran from a person dressed as a clown that was chasing them in Hilliard on Sept. 11.

The two said they were were standing by the side of Henry Smith Road when an older blue vehicle drove past them, turned around and then drove up to the juveniles.

They said the driver was wearing a white shirt with dots and an orange wig. The suspect asked the two minors to stop and come by the car, officers said.

The two minors said they ran away after the driver started chasing them. The minors reported they jumped over a chain-link fence and ran into their residence and locked the door.

Officers said they canvassed the area but did not find the suspect in the clown outfit.
