Two pedestrians crossing State Road A1A die after getting hit by a car

ST. JOHNS COUNTY, Fla. — On March 24, two pedestrians were crossing in the southbound road on A1A when a car collided into them.

According to Florida Highway Patrol, the reason for the two people crossing the road is unknown.

The car hit the two people head on causing them to be transported to the hospital where they were pronounced dead.

According to FHP, both pedestrians were 70 years old.

The crash is still under investigation.
