The University of North Florida Police Department sent out a crime alert via social media Saturday regarding an incident at a party that took place early Saturday morning.
According to UPD, a female student stepped outside of the party are the Flats building on UNF campus and was approached by a Hispanic male around 5 feet 7 inches tall, who was holding a red Solo cup.
The suspect offered the victim the drink.
The victim told UPD she began feeling groggy after consuming the drink and believes she was drugged and then sexually assaulted.

UPD stated that the victim reported the assault to a UNF professor that in turn contacted UPD.
UNF and UP are asking anyone with information to contact them at (904) 620-2800.
"While being a victim of a crime is not the fault of the victim, the UPD offers safety tips, which can be found here," UPD said in the statement.
Students living at the Flats told Action News Jax that they’re uncomfortable knowing the person accused of the assault is still out there.
Michelle Carabes lives in the Flats, where the incident allegedly happened.
“That’s kind of shocking,” said Carabes. “I live here so that's kind of really scary for me.”
Carabes is warning others to be aware of what they’re consuming at parties.
“Watch out for your drinks,” said Carabes. “… Make sure that you're not drinking anything served from somebody else.”
