“I am honored to be your President, thank you for sharing this great moment with us today,” Limayem said.
This is Limayem’s first time serving as the president of a University. Though it is not his first time managing a sea of college students. Before UNF Dr. Limayem was the dean of the business college at The University of South Florida for 10 years.
“I am so lucky and feel truly blessed to be working with you to take this University to the highest level,” Limayem said.
It was a special day as UNF celebrated the Inauguration of Dr. Moez Limayem as the University’s seventh president.

Students are excited about what Limayem has planned for UNF. Gabriel Shaw would like to see his major, mechanical engineering turned back into a 5-year degree plan to help with finances.
“Some of us have scholarships that are like monthly stipends and having to do all those classes at once with the same amount of money, I’m going to have to take out loans soon,” Shaw said.
President Limayem’s inauguration celebration ended with food, music and ten $2,500 scholarship giveaways.
Limayem says he dedicated today’s inauguration to his mother. She passed away a few weeks ago and Limayem says even though his mother could not read or write she is the reason he is the man he is today.
