Bridges are expected to be closed throughout St. Johns County and Duval County because of Hurricane Matthew.
The hurricane is a category 3 with winds at 120 mph. Bridges will close if sustained winds reach 40 mph.

The Dames Point Bridge is closed to traffic.
All Intracoastal Waterway Bridges in Jacksonville are closed, including Wonderwood, Atlantic Boulevard, Beach Boulevard and JTB.
The St. Johns County Sheriff's Office said that all of the bridges in the county are closed to traffic.

A downed power line is reported on the Vilano Beach bridge. A bridge closure is expected.

The Georgia Department of Transportation iis closing the Sidney Lanier Bridge on SR 25 in Brunswick at 10 a.m. Friday.
