JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Professional women’s basketball is coming to the River City.
The Upshot League is coming to Jacksonville and other Southeast cities starting in May 2026.

The announcement was made at the Community First Igloo on Monday afternoon.
Donna Orender, former commissioner for the WNBA and founder of nonprofit Generation W, will serve as commissioner for the Upshot League.

There will be at least 20 home games played at the VyStar Veterans Memorial Arena.
