JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A violent start to the weekend. On Friday, three shootings have been reported in Jacksonville: One on 1300 block of W. 16th Street, one on 4100 block of Crownwood Drive and one on 3100 block of Bridier Street.
The first reported shooting caused Stanton College Preparatory School to be put on lockdown. Police confirm two people were shot near 16th Street and Myrtle Avenue.
UPDATE: Jacksonville Sheriff's Office makes arrest after deadly shooting near school
The second reported shooting was on Bridier Street on the Eastside of Jacksonville. A 16-year-old was shot and transported to the hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening.
The third shooting reported involved a person shot in the 4100 block of Crownwood Drive off of Gate Parkway.
