Just in time for the holidays-a new Walmart opened in St. Johns County.
Walmart became the first store to open at the Durbin Park Pavillion. The new store will offer North St. Johns County shoppers a chance to buy groceries and other items.
According to a release from Walmart, the store will hire approximately 350 associates. The superstore will be open 24 hours a day and offer free online grocery pickup.
To celebrate the grand opening of the store there will be a movie night on Friday, November 9, 5:30-9:30 p.m. The store will show The Incredibles 2 and there will be food samples, games and giveaways.
There will be a Harvest Festival on Sunday, November 18, that will feature giveaways, samples and crafts from noon- 6:00 p.m.
The Walmart is the first of dozens of stores slated to open at the Pavillion at Durbin Park.
