Waycross woman arrested for murder after husband found dead

A Waycross woman was charged with murder after her husband was found shot to death on Saturday night.

Fire rescue officials came to Bay Street after a woman called and said she couldn't breathe.

When they got there, they found 68-year-old Jimmy Burke dead.

Sonia Burke was arrested for murder and taken to the hospital because of a possible overdose.

Jimmie Burke's body is being taken to a crime lab in Savannah for further investigation.

Waycross police said it appears Jimmie Burke was shot during a domestic dispute.
