Jacksonville, Fl — For many neighborhoods it has been two weeks since measurable rain has fallen. The pattern gradually turns wetter this week.
Action News Jax Meteorologist Garrett Bedenbaugh says today will be partly to mostly cloudy and still warm with highs in the middle 80s, near 90 inland. A few showers develop later this afternoon & evening, but it doesn’t rain on everyone.

There will be wet times the next few days, especially Wednesday & Friday. A few showers & storms linger into the weekend, potentially impacting the Jaguars game against the Titans on Sunday.

TROPICS: Hurricane Sam is in the Northern Atlantic tracking toward Iceland. Yeah, it’s way up there. Sam will go post-tropical tomorrow. Still tracking an area of low pressure east of the Bahamas, headed up toward the east coast of the U.S. Development doesn’t look likely with this system. While it may slightly increase our threat for rain, it won’t impact us.
