Winn-Dixie donates thousands to local school’s athletic program

Donation Winn-Dixie teamed up with Tide and Bounty to donate $7,500 to Ponte Vedra High School to help the school’s sports program.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Winn-Dixie teamed up with Tide and Bounty to donate $7,500 to Ponte Vedra High School to help the school’s sports program.

The donations will go toward needed equipment and facility upgrades.

The donation was presented during the halftime of the varsity basketball game against the Impact Christian Academy Lions on Tuesday.

Jacksonville Jaguars Linebacker Devin Lloyd presented the award.

According to a news release, the donation was part of the Tide and Bounty Neighborhood School Field Clean Up Campaign, where local students, parents, staff, and supporters voted online for the school to be randomly selected as the winning recipient.
