Winter storm: Jacksonville International Airport reopens, dozens of flights canceled

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — Jacksonville International Airport has reopened after closing Tuesday night due to severe winter weather moves.

The airport reopened around noon on Wednesday.

According to the JAX airport website, more than 40 flights, including arrivals and departures, were canceled.

“Travelers are encouraged to check flight status with their airline and for rebooking options,” JIA said in a social media post.

JAX airport closed Tuesday night around 8 p.m. after its last departure.
