Jacksonville, Fl — When it opened in 2006, the UF Health Proton Therapy Institute was the first proton therapy facility in Jacksonville, the first in Florida the first in the Southeast U.S. and fifth in the nation.

Nearly 12,000 proton patients have been treated including over 2,000 pediatric patients. WOKV is shining the spotlight on the groundbreaking treatment and research happening near Downtown, during a special edition of Jacksonville’s Morning News.
